Orphans Attend Hair Care Briefing and Free Hair Cut

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 February 2015: Fifteen orphans from Persatuan Kebajikan An-Najjah Malaysia were having a good time at the Hairline Port Studio Ampang and enjoyed their free hairdressing session offered by Alfric Chia and his professional hair stylist team there. The outing was organised by Great Vision Charity Association, with their volunteers fetching the children to the hair studio from the children’s home.

Apart from the hairdressing session, Ms. Myn Yap Wei Min, one of the most experienced hair stylist from the studio, provided a comprehensive hair care briefing to all the attendees to raise awareness on the importance of proper hair care. “After you finished getting a haircut, you look good, you feel good, and you have that self-confidence in you,” she said, adding that a cleaned-up appearance with beautiful and shiny hair always leaves a good impression.

The kids were then invited to a lunch session afterwards. Ms. Jean Tiu, the team leader of the hairdressing event from Great Vision Charity Association, offered a big thank you to the team from Hairline Port Studio Ampang for squeezing out a little bit of time from their extremely busy schedule to provide free haircuts to orphans just before the Chinese New Year and also to all the volunteers who came by to give a hand in the event. All the kids looks fresh, cheerful, and full of joy while on their way back to the children’s home.

The event is a good real-life example on how acts of kindness can influence others to do the same, when Hairline Port Studio were inspired by Great Vision Charity Association to offer this nice charitable hairdressing event to the orphans.
